1. The app and these terms
LumiRead (微光阅读) is provided and maintained by developer liaozhiliang. Contact liaozhiliang222@gmail.com. These terms describe use of the local reading service. Applicable App Store and software licence terms also apply, including Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement when no custom licence is supplied.
2. Service and pricing
Read files you import and use the bookmarks, notes, export, read-aloud and other features described in your installed version. We do not operate a bookstore, content-download service or public content community. All features provided in the first version are free, with no Pro purchase, subscription or in-app charge. Any new paid service would be separately described and optional; these terms do not authorise automatic charges.
3. Content and lawful use
You retain your content rights. Importing a file does not transfer or license its contents to the developer. Use only files you are entitled to use. Respect copyright, privacy and others’ rights; do not use the app for unlawful distribution, circumvention of rights-protection measures or malicious attacks. The app does not obtain content permissions for you. Third-party software and fonts retain their respective licences.
4. Local data and backups
Books, reading positions and notes are primarily stored locally. Export and keep a backup before deleting the app, clearing data, changing devices or important updates. Device faults, system changes, storage clearing or incompatible files may affect data. We have no cloud copy and cannot guarantee recovery without your backup. You and your selected services manage exported and shared copies. See the Privacy Policy.
5. Limitations and maintenance
File structure, fonts and protection can affect parsing and display. PDF display, margin detection and speech depend on file contents, system capabilities and voices. Compatibility with every file or device is not guaranteed. We will reasonably maintain the app but do not promise error-free operation or indefinite availability of each feature. Material changes will be communicated through release notes or this website, with any legally required consent obtained separately.
6. Responsibility and disputes
These terms do not exclude liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limit mandatory consumer rights. Responsibilities are determined by applicable law. Minors should use the app with a guardian’s guidance. Contact support first about problems or disputes; unresolved matters may be brought to the competent authority under applicable law. Updates will be dated here, with notice or renewed consent where required.
